About Me

      Welcome to The Eternal Student.  I’m Tyler, and this blog is a spot for me to put my thoughts about whatever I’m thinking at the moment.  If you’re wondering why my blog is The Eternal Student, it’s because that’s what I feel like. I’m currently a graduate student at Oklahoma State University working on a doctorate in Educational Technology.

About Me:

My name is Tyler. Apart from being a doctoral student I’m married and have two boys, Kevin and Cameron.  They are my little bundles of joy. Kevin is big enough to play with, and tell me that he loves me; Perfect. Cameron is a little too small to tell me that but I love him anyway.  Like I said, my boys are my joy. Catherine is my love. We met in college and and were married after her 1st year.  Now she is the best wife I could ever ask for.

Hobies:

I like playing almost all sports.  I especially like football and wrestling, but playing anything is fine. I’d live in the water if I could. I like to fish and want to learn fly fishing and scuba diving. I like sailing and hopefully someday will live somewhere that Catherine and I can buy a sailboat. I’ve been snow boarding since I was a kid and love playing golf with my dad and brothers, or anyone else who happens to want to.

I’m also sort of a technology geek so I get all excited about any type of technology that makes my life easier or more fun. Especially if I can apply it to education and teach more effectively.

Finally, I love to read. I’m one of those people who decide to pick a book up just for fun and then get addicted till I finish it. It’s almost an obsession.  I specifically like reading science fiction, fantasy, mysteries, and action books. Some of my favorites are J.K. Rowling, Dan Brown, C.S. Lewis, Tom Clancy, Robert Ludlum, and I even like Christopher Paolini’s Ingeritance Cycle (I know).
