The Light
At last,
night turns to day
though I have not slept.
Stars in the heavens
Disappearing
Cold, lonely night
Alone in the dark
Endless time and thought
Waiting for light
‘Till with the sun’s
warm touch upon me
darkness hides away
I close my eyes
At last.
